Electrical Engineering Responsibilities

The Electrical Engineering Group (L to R): Jack Viscosi, Frank Faiella, Stacey Wise, Kim Wilson, Sunil Roy

The electrical group investigates numerous minor construction projects of electrical nature. We create a conceptual solution, which is further developed into a design. Typical projects include the need for more receptacles (outlets, switches, etc.), lighting, power to a new vent fan or air conditioning unit to suit changing room functions, additions or functions. Projects may also include the replacement of existing equipment such as a public address system or scoreboard. A significant part of the electrical group's work is upgrading the lighting at schools to improve safety.

The electrical group frequently gets involved with the evaluation of new products for their use in our schools. There are numerous products introduced each year that may provide enormous savings in energy consumption. Through this evaluation process, the electrical group works to make the Clark County School District buildings as safe, comfortable and engergy efficient as possible.
