The Architectural group reviews all plans and
specifications prepared by consultant Architects
and Engineers, both new and renovation projects,
for conformance with the CCSD Design Manual, Building
Codes, CCSD Educational Specifications, ADA compliance,
Clark County Health Department requirements, Fire
Department requirements, good engineering practices
and ease of maintenance as well as energy conserving
systems and features.
In addition, the Architectural group provides
in-house design for all the numerous miscellaneous
construction projects of an architectural nature
such as room partitions, additional air conditioning
or ventilation as required to suit changing
functions or modifications, restrooms, portables,
fire suppression systems, and kitchen modernizations.
Our involvement starts from the initial project
requirement and continues through developing
the project scope of work, actual design of
the project in the form of plans and specifications,
and construction substantial and final completion
by attending progress meetings and observing
that the work is built as the design intended.
